DoD-Allied Nations Technical Corrosion Conference
Why Attend
2019 Conference Theme: Corrosion Prevention & Control: The Intersection of People and Technology
The purpose of the biennial DoD-Allied Nations Technical Corrosion Conference is to facilitate information exchange between the U.S. government, participating organizations, private industry, academia, and U.S. allies, with a focus on reducing the impacts of corrosion on costs, availability and safety of systems and facilities used by the Armed Forces. Since corrosion of military equipment and infrastructure costs the U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) approximately $20 billion every year, the DoD Corrosion Community continually and actively seeks new corrosion prevention and mitigation solutions for material, equipment, and facilities.
This technical information exchange strengthens international partnerships and allows each nation to more effectively reduce the negative impacts of corrosion on global readiness and safety.
