Event Overview:
The annual Conference on Retroviruses and Opportunistic Infections (CROI) brings together top basic, translational, and clinical researchers from around the world to share the latest studies, important developments, and best research methods in the ongoing battle against HIV/AIDS and related infectious diseases. CROI is a global model of collaborative science and the premier international venue for bridging basic and clinical investigation into clinical practice in the field of HIV and related viruses.
Exemplifying the extraordinary scale of CROI, the registered attendees often number 4000 from more than 87 countries. Nearly half of CROI attendees come from outside the United States. In recent years, more than 1000 abstracts have been selected for presentation at CROI.

The International Antiviral Society-USA is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit professional education organization. The IAS-USA serves as the Conference Secretariat for CROI.

The CROI Foundation operates exclusively for the charitable and educational purpose of organizing, promoting, and presenting the Conference on Retroviruses and Opportunistic Infections (CROI).
