Why Attend
Event Overview:
The AMS Annual Meeting is the world’s largest yearly gathering for the weather, water, and climate community. It brings together great minds from a diverse set of scientific disciplines – helping attendees make career-long professional contact and life-long friends while learning from the very top people in the atmospheric sciences.
Join fellow scientists, educators, students, and other professionals from across the weather, water, and climate community in Austin, Texas from 7–11 January, 2018 to share, learn, and collaborate.
2018 Theme: "Transforming Communication in the Weather, Water, and Climate Enterprise"
Communication is a dynamic, powerful, and essential part of the weather, climate, and water enterprise. Successful communication requires active engagement– not only thinking about what, when, where, how, why, and to whom we speak but also carefully listening to better understand and respond appropriately.
The AMS Annual Meeting is host to the largest exhibit program anywhere in the atmospheric, oceanic, and related sciences. Exhibitors come from all over the United States and abroad showcasing a wide range of products, publications, and services.
