The purpose of the AFCA Education Division is to provide our members with the opportunity to exchange information related to the game of football, the football coaching profession, and the well-being of those who play the game. The AFCA Education Division is funded by the American Football Coaches Foundation®, whose purpose is to support the educational opportunities provided to the members of the American Football Coaches Association and the football coaching profession.
The AFCA believes staying educated is the best way for coaches to practice responsible influence.
The AFCA Convention is the flagship event of the American Football Coaches Association. It is the largest educational gathering in the football coaching industry. More than 6,000 coaches from all levels of the game gather once a year to learn, network, and fellowship.
Throughout the course of the 2018 AFCA Convention, the Education Division will provide members with a strategically designed curriculum that will address the following core competencies of the football coaching profession:
