About AAHS:
The American Association for Hand Surgery was founded by a group of American and Canadian hand surgeons. The group received their training under Dr. Joseph L. Posch at the Grace Hospital in Detroit and shared a vision of forming an organization that would represent the interest of all surgeons practicing hand surgery.
In 1970, that vision became a reality. The founding purpose of the American Association for Hand Surgery was to provide an educational forum to increase the professional expertise and knowledge of surgeons involved in hand surgery.
Today, the association has grown to over 1,300 members and has been expanded to include hand therapist and other health professionals who care for patients with hand and upper extremity problems.
About ASPN:
The American Society for Peripheral Nerve was established April 19, 1990. ASPN was established to stimulate and encourage study and research in the field of neural regeneration, to provide a forum for the presentation of the latest research and relevant clinical information and to serve as a unifying authority on all areas of neural regeneration and restorative neuroscience.
The American Society for Peripheral Nerve represents a diverse group of professionals - neurosurgeons, orthopedic surgeons, plastic surgeons, general surgeons, physical therapists, hand therapists, and basic scientists.
About ASRM:
The American Society for Reconstructive Microsurgery (ASRM) was established in 1984 and has served "to promote, encourage, foster, and advance the art and science of microsurgery and complex reconstruction" and to establish a forum for teaching, research and free discussion of reconstructive microsurgical methods and principles. Today the society is comprised of more than five hundred members from sixteen countries and continues to evolve and grow providing a major engine for microsurgical advancement.
